The River And The Mountain

Once upon a time a mighty river had a small desire. She wanted to cut through a small mountain that stood in its way even though it could easily have by passed it. It was just to feel powerful, to show that she could easily do such a thing.

And one day she chose to satisfy her desire. Head first she ran into the mountain and as she was to strike on it, she realized, whether she broke the mountain or not, she had to flow into the sea. That is what rivers are meant for, to flow into the sea. Rivers are not to break mountains. And then she realized, the sea was her calling, the mountain a mere desire.

Should rivers still break mountains then? It’s for each river to decide, according to each mountain in her path.

I’m so sorry my dear mountain I can’t tell you what I feel about you, I’m a river, I have to find my way to the sea.

When the river is young,ie it flows in the hills, it is energetic but childish and flows ferociously, hitting the rocks and eroding the mud....... in a way gathering minerals in its water.......

Then it calms down as it reaches the plains and its base increases.... it knows its powers and limitations and flows peacefully to the sea.

At sea, forms a delta to pout out all it has accumulated all thru its journey..... asimilating its identity into the vast sea, the self less act of getting de-recognised.....

And again the sun heats up the sea to form vapour which travel thru clouds to the hills to become part of the river again...

SO MUCH SIMILAR to our life... till teen age we fight and struggle and by mid age we know our power intellect and abilities and in the end we sacrifice our-selves for our family....

and then again get incarnated....

YOU HAVE VERY aptly described the flow of river. THE WAY YOU HAVE HINTED towards the life cycle and the river is very subtle yet effective

loved the way you expressed your words

GREAT .... KEEP IT UP
